WESTSIDE GUNN IS CONSIDERED A LEGEND IN THE HIPHOP SCENE. REAL NAME ALVIN LEMAR WORTHY, GUNN HAS BEEN DROPPING MUSIC FOR AS EARLY AS 2005. HE HAS ALSO COLLABORATED WITH NUMEROUS HIP HOP ARTISTS, FROM THE LATE MF DOOM, JOEY BADA$$, TYLER, THE CREATOR, DOECHII, AND TRAVIS SCOTT TO NAME A FEW. HE IS ALSO A FASHION DESIGNER AND CO-FOUNDER OF THE HIPHOP RECORD LABEL GRISELDA RECORDS. 

WITH THE SUCCESS OF HIS ALBUM "PRAY FOR PARIS," GUNN DROPPED THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED SEQUEL IN 2023, TITLED "AND THEN YOU PRAY FOR ME." PIVOTING SLIGHTLY FROM THE STYLE OF HIS DEBUT "PRAY FOR" ALBUM, HIS SECOND RELEASE WAS ONE TO GROW ON, GAINING POSITIVE REVIEWS OVERTIME. gunn, with the help of producer tay keith, adopted a more trap heavy approach to the album, which had mixed reviews during the first week of the album release. 

westside gunn didn't completely make a 180 from his usual style however, as tracks "kitchen lights," "mama's primetime," and album outtro "and then you pray for me" retained the style gunn's known for (also our personal favouites on the album, no bias).

as gunn continues to drop music with no intentions of slowing down, he continues to solidify his legacy as "the king of buffalo new york." he even has his own day in the city of buffalo (the actual mayor co-signed this) called "westside gunn day" on august 28th. oh, and his ad-libs. we all love his ad-libs.
